About Michael Godwin

Michael Godwin is a trained prosthetist and orthotist at Hanger Clinic in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is responsible for fitting and designing artificial limbs for patients based on their individual needs. Highly creative, he uses his expertise and understanding of all new and sophisticated orthotic and prosthetic technology and design to tailor each system to the needs of each particular patient. Microprocessor-controlled knees and feet, and stance control knee ankle-foot orthoses, are things that interest Michael Godwin. Mr. Godwin has worked with pediatric and senior patients for over two decades and is certified by the American Board of Prosthetics and Orthotics. He worked as a CPO and clinic manager for Advantage O and P in Florence and a clinician at Harry Lawall and Sons in Philadelphia, respectively, before moving on to his current position. He has also worked with the Army National Guard in Lock Haven as a machinist. In 1999 , Michael Godwin received a bachelor's degree in health sciences from Lock Haven University with a minor in chemistry and later on two postgraduate certificates in prosthetics and orthotics via the Newington Certificate Program.
